Broken Screen

Macbook Pro
&
Macbook Air

You can't do much if you can't see what you're doing on your Macbook. Your screen is a vital part of daily operation for your Macbook.  Most Macbooks operate on a Retina display, while some others use an OLED.   We stock screens for all models of Macbook Pro and Macbook Air.  All repairs, are typically completed within 48 hours.  Rest assured, we do not use aftermarket parts, we source original components.

Common Macbook Screen Issues

Macbooks operate like any other laptop, using hinges to secure their screens in place.  Typically, the hinges are held to the main body of the Macbook by three screws. Over time, hinges just like on a door, loosen.  The loosening of hinges will increase the possibility of damaging your screen.

Hinges don't typically fail at the same rate on both sides.  The side you favor when opeing your screen is the most affected.  This causes distortion when opening and closing the laptop, as there is greater pressure on one side than the other.

Screen Replacement

When your screen is at the point that you can't see anything but lines, it must be replaced.  We will check that all components are secured first prior to replacing your screen.  In our experience, these types of concerns require a full replacement.

No Backlight

Your Macbook may be on, and loaded into the operating system but you can barely see it.  Macbook screens operate with a backlight that shines through the screen, illuminating whatever is being presented.  When the backlight fails, we need to address the screen OR motherboard level components.  Problems with the backlight are not always associated with the screen itself.

Hinge Repair
